Advice On Cooking For A 50's Party

Let's start with some spiced Apricot-Lemon Punch - How 50ies is that?
2 12 ounce cans of apricot nectar
1 5 ounce can frozen lemonade
3 cuts of water
4 1 inch pieces of Cinnamon sticks
4 whole cloves
1 whole Nutmeg cut in half
Combine apricot nectar, lemonade and water. Stir to mix well. Add cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Cover and chill several hours before serving. Remove whole spices before serving. Will serve about 7. Serve in a crystal punch bowl -- complete with serving cups.
Barbecued Chick -- 50's style
2 four pound chickens cut up
1 cup of tomato juice
1 tablespoon minced onions
1/3 teaspoon MSG
1 teaspoon all season
1 teaspoon black pepper
Place chicken pieces on grill over low fire. Combine tomato juice with remaining ingredients. Turn chicken frequently and brush with remaining sauce. Should take about 45 minutes to be thoroughly cooked. Serves about 8.
Got to have potato salad
6 cups cooked potatoes cut in about 1 inch pieces
4 hard cooked eggs
1/2 cup minced olives
1/3 cup milk
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon brown mustard
2 teaspoons minced onion
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
1/4 teaspoon all season
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Combine potatoes, eggs and olives in large bowl. Stir mike into mayonnaise and add remaining ingredients and stir well. Pour over potato mixture and toss. Chill. Serves about 7 or 8. --
