Advice On Why It's Ok To Be Prejudiced Towards White
posted on 05/19/2009
White foods, of course. What did you think I meant? More specifically white rice. Other white foods as well, but some foods are okay to eat. Cauliflower and potatoes are okay but for the most part foods that are white are no good for you. Avoiding white foods is a good way to stay healthy or become more healthy.
Whole wheat (whole grain) is high in nutrients that our bodies need. The process that turns whole wheat into white flour removes these nutrients. Fiber, vitamins B and E, calcium, zinc, copper, manganese, and potassium are stripped away as well. What is left is so devoid of anything resembling a healthy product that counterfeit 'enriched' ingredients are added back in. You will see them on labels as enriched flour or fortified vitamins.
Whole grains are essential to maintaining a healthy bowels and healthy heart. Without the fiber to push out all the excrement a lot gets trapped in the intestines and takes up permanent residence. It has been estimated that about 5 pounds of an adults weight (low fiber diet) is found in their intestines. Substitute white bread for whole grain breads (not whole wheat, whole grain).
Milk is white. Humans are the only beings on this planet that consume milk after being weaned off the mother (if your blessed to get mother's milk). If a cow went out into the field and grazed on grass I might say go ahead, drink it. The problem is cows don't really eat grass anymore. They are fed processed feed and are bred to produce more milk than normal cows would. They are bred to have larger than normal pituitary glands and thus produce more milk. That's not normal.
After a cow is milked it is then pasteurized. This process destroys enzymes that are key in helping your body digest milk. You body needs the galactase so you can absorb the galactose, it needs lactase for the absorption of lactose and phosphatase for calcium absorption. Milk in itself is not necessarily bad, but the 'food' the cows eat combined with the process we use to get milk marketed is bad for human consumption.
Salt. Salt is a preserver and it brings out the flavor in whatever food it touches. Too much white salt causes water retention, high blood pressure and heart disease. Gray salt is a better choice than regular table salt and kosher or sea salt if you can't find gray salt.
White sugar is found in almost every processed food you can buy. From spaghetti sauce to donuts and even up to 12 teaspoonfuls in a 16 oz. bottle of soda. With all the negative aspects of white sugar I still recommend it over NutraSweet, Splenda or Sweet & Low. Try raw sugar. It's brown and tastes the same as white sugar. You can even find it organic in some stores. If you still don't want to use sugar, try agave.
Rice. Brown rice has a higher fiber content than white rice. The extra step that companies take to make a good and healthy grain like brown rice into a substandard product is shameful White rice has removed its fiber content and important nutrients needed by our bodies; about nineteen to be more accurate.
Remember, cauliflower, mushrooms, and potatoes are okay to eat but steer clear of the other white foods.

There is a colon cleanse that you get at Whole Foods. Works great, I took off seven pounds in one weekend. Tastes horrible.

You can't ask me to give up french fries. Not gonna happen, but my Mom does use sweet potatoes more often than regular white potatoes. Thank goodnezz for MickeyDees.
