Advice On How To Start Exercising And Get In Better Shape

One of the most important things about getting in better shape is exercising. We all know that it's necessary, but none of us want to do it! This article is about how to kick start your exercising habit and soon you'll be in the best shape of your life!
First, you need to get yourself into a solid routine. You need to pick a certain time everyday that you will devote to exercising. For example, I personally do all of my push-ups right after I wake up in the morning, it gets my blood pumping and makes me ready to start the day. You should designate a certain time of day for each exercises. Using myself as an example again, I always use my treadmill after I get home every day. Once you get yourself into a routine you'll feel more motivated.
Second, you need to make goals and you need to stick with them. They should be easily quantifiable. A good goal would be, "I'd like to be able to do fifty push-ups", or "I'd like to be able to run two miles in 14 minutes." A bad goal would be, "I'd like to run faster", or "I'd like to feel less tired." While those are both things you should strive for, it's hard to tell if you've met them, making meeting them discouraging. Another thing you should do is to create accountability in meeting your goals. This can be accomplished in many ways. A common way is to join a gym, but if you don't want to shell out for a gym membership you can just share your goals with someone important in your life, like a significant other or a parent. They'll help you stay on track and will help you reach your goal.
