One of the main ways to lose weight is to watch your diet. Some people think that you have to go on a crash course diet and eat next to nothing. That is really not the case. As long as you stick to the three main meals, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and only two snacks of around 100 calories each, you should not have anything to worry about. Follow serving sizes on packages, since that is the reason they are there. Do not let hardships in your life cause you to indulge, as this is a major cause of weight gain. Eat salads and protiens to help shape and build muscle, and if you can, try to stay away from carbs. It is OK to have a piece of bread with your meal, or have a sandwich with lunch meat, but don't have carbs for every meal of the day. They stay in your system longer and causes your system to "store" them.
Excersize
Althought dieting can give you positive affects, excersizing in combination with your diet will really give you the look you want. Try having your diet work with your excersize, such as having carbs and sugar in the morning to go on a couple mile long walk or jog, or perhaps eat a lot of red meat with protiens and go to your local gym to work out. It might take some time to start seeing results but once it starts, it goes pretty quickly. If you are working out to lose weight, your best bet is not to put on the most weight you can lift. Start out with about ¾ your maximum lifting capacity and just do a lot of reps. This will help shape your body. When your body starts to slim down is when you want to increase the weights to your maximum, which will then build more muscle. Do the routine that works best for your lifestyle.
Sleep
Although it is not publicly known, proper sleep habits also help weight loss. Sleep is the body's best friend. During sleep, your brain recovers from all the work and stress you went through the day before and your body works on eating away at fat tissue and rejuvenating the body. If you don't get enough sleep, or you get broken sleep, then your body can not do this. You will wake up cranky, thereby affecting your dieting and excersizing habits. If you get a good nights sleep then your entire day and life will be better. Most people do not know how big a part sleep plays in your life.
Supplements and Diet Plans
I know many of you have seen the advertisements for the Acia products. They say that it is supposed to increase weight loss by providing anti-oxidants and other helpful nutrients that your body will use to burn the weight off. Has anyone actually read the fine print? You'll see on TV that it says "Results not typical" or on the websites it says that the "Company" can not guarantee that you will get the results shown on the website. So they advertise this product and then give you a warning that they aren't even sure that the product will give you ANY result, nevermind the results they show on the TV/website. Do not fall for these weight loss miracles. They are all fake and just used to get you to pay money. Diet plans however, are worth researching. Although you will still need to excersize, diet plans give you good ideas of foods you should eat throughout the day. Do not just follow one plan though. Look through many of them and pick out what parts of each diet would work best for you. Also seek out a health professional to see if the diet you choose will really achieve the affects you desire.
Conclusion
To achieve the best results, please combine all of the information I have told you above. If you are still unsure of the best diet and excersize plans, go to a gym and hire a personal trainer. Even if you do not want to pay the money, get a trainer for about a week or month or whatever your gym's trainer fee is and ask them for advice during that time. After that, you should be able to follow the plan on your own and you should not need a trainer anymore. I hope this helps
