Advice On Making Dinner Quickly
posted on 10/02/2009
There is nothing worse than coming home and having to make dinner really fast because you and your family is starving. Well, there are quick and easy foods that will save you time and energy so you don't have to wear yourself out making a meal.
Frozen foods are best for this type of situation
Frozen pizza, hot pockets, pizza roles, and even frozen eggrolls are quick and easy foods that go a long way with making quick and easy dinners. All you have to do pop these foods into a microwave oven, heat them up, and eat them when they're done.
For people who just don't like microwave cuisine
Okay, now I know everybody doesn't like microwavable foods. That's okay. You can make simple and easy meals on the stove. They won't be as fast as the microwaveable foods but they still can be prepared in a decent amount of time.
One food is fried chicken, another type of food is home made nachos, and you can even make soup and sandwiches. Cut up some potatoes for French Fries and hamburgers are a great easy type of food to make.
If you absolutely must cook
If you absolutely must cook a four course meal then sky's the limit because there just too many dishes that will take too much time to cook. The bottom line is if you're family and you don't mind waiting then there shouldn't be a problem with you creating a four course meal.
Potato chips, sloppy Joe, tuna salad, chicken salad, tossed salad, frozen dinners, and even mini corndogs are all great foods to eat in a hurry and they can be substituted for a regular dinner when you just don't feel like cooking and when you don't have the energy or time to do it. Remember that quick and easy food doesn't mean that you're compromising your family's nutritional well being and everything you eat doesn't have to be a fine dining experience.
