Even tough you may be a lover of animals and yearn to have a dog for company, its wise to first weigh the pros and cons of taking on the responsibility of another life.
Ensure that your lifestyle and financial status are in sync with the level of commitment required to nurture another living creature. Believe me when I say that it is no mean feat, because decisions based on emotions can backfire and circumstances may change suddenly.given the the recent economic downturn.
Bear in mind that aside from the initial cost of acquiring your new best friend,he too has needs and rights and you must be fully prepared to provide for them as and when required.
Some of these to look out for include boarding expenses for your furry friend when you need to travel, grooming expenses and medical bill.
Each animal has their own unique personality and in some cases they may require some serious house training especially if you have expensive Persian carpets strewn about your floor.
To sum up.lets just say that think everything through just as you would when you decide to have a baby. The decision is equally life changing.
