Angling (Catching Fish with Fishing Rod)

Angling is a great pastime, especially on a sunny holiday.

The first thing you need is to choose the place where to catch the fish. It may be some river or some pond or some lake or any place there is enough fish to catch. You should visit the local angling equipment-stores to get details about the available places for great angling. Otherwise, you may call a friend who has this hobby.

For the first time anglers is better to take a friend with him as a companion. It will surely add to the excitement of the sport.
Then you have to collect the angling equipments. The basic thing you need is of course, the fishing rod. You may seek advice from the local angling equipment dealer about the right kind of fishing-rod that suits your need and budget. The hooks are of various sizes, so choose it rightly according to the type and size of fish you are going to catch. Don't forget to buy a net for keeping the fish you would catch.
The usual baits are bread and live worms. But some live baits from the store, if you need. You also need some ground baits which attract the fishes near the place you will fish. Generally it is a mixture of different scented things with husk or sweet barley malt as the key ingredient.
The good time for fishing is generally the early morning and late afternoon. Don't forget to carry your hat if the sun is too hot. Before you start for the adventure prepare your ground bait. Mix it with some earth or mud and make some balls and throw them gently into the water near the place you have chosen for angling. Now wash your hand properly and make it dry before prepare the bait. You could use earth worms as live bait. They are easy to find near the bank. Dig some of them from the ground and put it on your hook to catch fish. Otherwise mix the bread with honey and make a tough paste. It is a good bait for sweet fresh water fishes.
Now you are ready for the good things. Put your bait on the hooks and throw it in the water. Catch the fish and put it in the net. Tightly tie the mouth of the net and keep it in shallow water.
