The other day, I spent six hours watching the Health Care Summit, televised from Washington, DC. At the end of it, I came to a single conclusion: they are putting the cart before the horse. The whole deal is about a Bill that the President is trying to pass, which would eliminate the issue of how to fund health care for the poor and the sick, who don't have health insurance and can'... read more »
St. Augustine was founded by Ponce de Leon and claimed for the Spanish crown in 1565; it is the oldest city in our Nation. In my view, it's one of the most beautiful in America. If you love old things, sightseeing tours and ghosts, St Augustine, is for you. The town is typical of many, small, Florida towns, as it boasts an overpowering amount of palm trees, and a daily dose of cool, tr... read more »
I have to start off by saying that raising children is the hardest thing I've ever done. I've learned to write, paint, unravel the "kinks" in a computer and manage a 243 person real estate office. Raising my kids was harder than all of that. If I had to do it over, I would have first read a book on how to be a more responsible parent. They say that kids don't come w... read more »
Here in south central Indiana, as well as in many different parts of the country, most of us heat our homes with natural gas. And that was fine with me - at least until I got my first, winter utility bill, last year. My average bill runs around two hundred dollars per month. But in January of 2008, the total bill was $520. I was sure that the utility company had made a mistake. Not! After... read more »
About a year ago, I noticed a strange bump on the bridge of my dog's nose. It was the size of half a pea and felt hard to the touch. I looked at it very closely and there was no sign of any irritation or discoloration and it didn't seem to bother him at all. I thought it might be a wart and so I decided just to leave it be, since it wasn't giving him any issues. A year after ... read more »
Mind medicine, as I call it, has nothing to do with drugs, neither natural nor man-made. It's a process that can make you become more like one of those people who always seem to be in control. You know the type I mean. They never get unnerved, always know what to say and never worry about anything. People like that used to drive me crazy. How can you possibly stay calm in a world as h... read more »
Having been in sales for twenty years and making a great living at it, I feel qualified to speculate on how to become a great sales person. I've sold jewelry, timeshare units and brand new, hundred thousand dollar homes with incredible ease. To me, it was like playing and had nothing to do with work. Once, someone asked me how I got to be so good at sales. Truthfully, I couldn't ... read more »
Basically, organic gardening means to grow plants without the use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides...pretty much like people use to do, a hundred years ago. Now I've heard lots of rebuttal defending the need to use both the above mentioned chemicals. Most of those people have told me that without artificial fertilizer and pesticides, there's no way you can grow a healthy crop ... read more »
Buying a home is an emotional experience, especially if you've been living in a rental for awhile. The thought of owing your own space, having a yard for the kids and painting the walls, any color you want to, is an exhilarating feeling. But, amid all this excitement, there is one, very important bit of information that most people don't consider. How good is the resale value of this... read more »
I finally figured out, after two years of research and study, how this "Law of Attraction" thing actually works. You really can make everything in your life, work just the way you want it to. Here, I'm going to show you exactly how to do that. But first, a little, necessary background, so you understand where I'm coming from. How It Started, For Me One night, I was browsi... read more »
