I am a writer at heart. My first passion, however, is the Lord.
My second is my family and then...writing!
My husband is Greg, and combined, we have two sons and a daughter. My son has given us two precious grandchildren and his has given us three adorable grandchildren. Ask me about them...I can write pages and pages for you about the topic of our grandchildren!
As an answer to prayer, my first book was published in 2008. I co-wrote, "Contemplative by Design - Creating Quiet Spaces for Retreats, Workshops, and Personal Settings," with a writing partner, Jane J. Young.
I now do some online writing in essay form and also have close to 100 articles available on ehow.com. Writing energizes me!
Greg and were international missionaries for Youth With A Mission (YWAM) for almost 4 years. (We were young at heart at least!) Trained in Lausanne, Switzerland, based in Nuneaton, England and I led outreach teams to India, Uganda and Zimbabwe. I miss the YWAM way of life and serving God on the foreign mission field very much! Serving the Lord, feeds my spirit and energizes me as well!
I am a people person, love creative personalized photo story-books for little ones, taking photos (though I would certainly not be considered a photographer!) and traveling.
Early 2008, I retired from Upper Room Ministries and began several part time jobs. I work as a church secretary part time, have begun a very small personal house cleaning business, work three evenings a week at the Martha Obryan Center in inner city Nashville doing paper work, and sometimes give out samples at Publix Grocery Stores. In my spare time, I try to write!
