i have a bmw 525i 1995 and it has no power and idles rough.i think it has something to do with the a egr or cat problem what is your thought on this problem i am having with my car?

Had the same problem on a '91 535 - you need to clean (hopefully not replace) the Mass Air Flow Sensor - MAFs - They sell special MAF cleaner at any auto store. Good luck. Cleaning, rather than replacing will save you about 500 bucks!
